What is PortAventura doing in the Mexico area?

Something is happening right now in the Mexico area of the PortAventura park.
Construction walls are placed around the area and cranes are onsite.
But what will this be? Right now it is unknown.

The size of this area looks big enough for a compact rollercoaster of some sort.

Something like a Family Boomerang would complement Tami Tami and Tomahawk with a good step up to their good family thrill rollercoaster offering (Uncharted, Stampida, El Diablo).

In reality, it's a far smaller space than that blue blob, given it's the staff/supply access to the gift shops and the smaller of the two restaurants in that section. It's partially above the El Diablo's tunnel too.

I was going to say this. The land to work with is not that big, and has an odd shape to fit anything relevant (unless you are Phantasialand or Gröna Lund).

Given the Halloween season is around the corner I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to fit a semipermanent upcharge horror walk-through. Hopefully I am wrong and this is some sort of ride, but I am not holding my breath.

The most that it could likely fit would be a Vekoma Family Boomerang to be honest or maybe a flat - I don't think they would be able to offer anything bigger on that site

Truth be told, it's probably park infrastructure improvements
