Idea for what could be done in Rhode Island

Since there are virtually no amusement parks or fairs in Rhode Island, I have a great idea. First, there would be a typical amusement park that's open seasonally. It would be just like Cedar Point but bigger, having little (if any) theming, and tons of rides and coasters. There would also be a waterpark that's part of the main park's admission, so you can just walk in after entering the park. The waterpark would even have a roller soaker, an Intamin surfrider, and a flowrider.

Second, there would be a mult-leisure and entertainment resort that's open year round. It would be just like Disney World but bigger, having all kinds of theme parks, waterparks, resort hotels, shopping complexes, and more. The theme parks would rival Disney, Universal, and Busch Gardens. The waterparks would also have their own theme. There would also be different indoor family entertainment centers, as well as a small city that would be like a mini vegas, and would be a bigger version of Downtown Disney and Universal Citywalk.

Finally, RI would finally have its own state fair that would be open annually all month in July. It would be like the Texas State Fair but bigger, having great food, lots of different shows, all kinds of exhibitions as well as competitive events, and tons of rides. The rides would include kiddie rides, family rides, thrill rides, ghost trains, funhouses, water rides, roller coasters, and more. Some of the roller coasters that used to be in European fairs like the Thriller and Euro Star would come back exclusively for this state fair.

That would really make people wanna come to Rhode Island more.

Well.. I don't think RI is a real mecca for the common tourist tbh. They already have Lake Compounce, SFNE, Canobie.. and a few more around. I honestly see the tiny little state as more of an 'upper class' getaway than just going there to ride some coasters.

And again.. short drives to other massive attractions make anything large simply not worth it tbh.

Ahahaha theme parks in Rhode Island! I could see something like the Santa Cruz Boardwalk opening near Newport, or maybe an indoor park in Warwick or Providence. Other then that, Rhode Island is pretty much a dud state for theme parks.

Not to be rude, but I'm failing to see the point in this topic.

The other amusement parks in New England seem pretty average at best. The theme park resort would be like an American version of Dubailand, having lots of different parks and complexes. The state fair would also have many different rides usually seen in European funfairs. The amusement park would even have its own division that would create modern versions of vintage ride types. For instance, they would make recreations of rides like Harry Traver's catterpillar ride, a Chance tumbler, and even a new virginia reel.

Yeah, still not seeing the point of this.

What's to stop every member on here from creating a topic about a "dream" park in their local area. Let's face it, that's all this is.
