I prefer Taron.
Velocicoaster is good but Taron is a much whippier, much more out of control experience that just flings you around a lot more and takes place in a much prettier setting. It has better airtime, better laterals, is much more intense overall and definitely has a sense of raw power...
I feel like it started with VelociCoaster.
I haven't personally ridden Kondaa but I know others that definitely feel like Kondaa is way less intense than the earlier Intamins out there. Someone from Intamin even confirmed in a Coaster Studios video that they're trying to make the transitions...
The mass-appealification of Intamin continues
I'm nowhere near as excited as I was about these projects a few years back. Now it just seems like Intamin are dialing everything down to make their rides not too-intense while still incorporating elements that you'd find on wilder coasters.
I...
My favourite drop tower is (or rather, was) unfortunately, Orlando Freefall at Icon Park.
Usually with the tall drop towers you don't really feel anything but it's insane having a drop that feels like it lasts forever and have it actually pack a punch to it. The view was great, the tilt was...
1. OzIris
Really beautiful ride, great interaction with the area, some WONDERFULLY floaty zero g rolls and intense helices. What's not to love?
2. Black Mamba
Incredible interaction with the area too, surprisingly forceful in places. Very close to Nemesis to me I just prefer how this ride is...
In all fairness, Blue Fire's launch is actually fairly punchy.
Ride to Happiness also has a great launch, AND offers the best of both worlds with a fantastic drop off that top hat too. Most of the time though I really enjoy the tension added with a lifthill and the excitement of a killer first...
Just stumbled across this thread and after doing Eatrenalin in January I think it's safe to say that I absolutely ADORED my time doing it and without a shadow of a doubt my favourite use of the trackless dark ride tech out there and absolutely the coolest thing I've ever done at a theme park...
Ice Breaker by far. Great layout. Great airtime, great launches, really good. Restraints don't bother me.
Tigris... eh. The restraints attempt to tighten on you any chance they get. The SR2s offer a cool taste of every force you can get on a coaster but they don't really do much else. It's...
Having just spent 3 days at Europa Park, I'd like to drop my thoughts on the park's dark ride lineup in order from least favourite to favourite!

Going to be honest I didn't know this was there. No thoughts.

Sorry. It's cute, but it just doesn't really do much. It's...
#1 Ride to Happiness is better than #2 Iron Gwazi because of a few reasons; for a start, the on board audio definitely helps! I'm a huge sucker for that kind of thing and if a ride has it, it's generally a big boost to my perception of that ride. It's also ridiculously rerideable due to the...
