Carowinds | Snoopys Racing Railway | ART Engineering Family Launch Coaster | 2025

No, probably not, especially seeing how Wonderland recently dropped that rule for theirs.

    Canada's Wonderland | Alpenfury | Premier Rides Launch Coaster | 2025

From the POV I thought that first element out of the mountain was 2 inversions, but from the offride, it looks like it's only one. Is... is a park actually playing the "9 but actually 8 inversions" game again?

1.) Steel Curtain advertises itself as having 9, but the banana roll yada yada, it only has eight. 2.) This point was overshadowed by the Beast 2.0 nonsense, but recent KI surveys suggested a 10-inversion infinity coaster is on the table for that park, so CF might be holding on to the...

Marineland of Canada (may be) closing/sold

The land is highly valuable, and could be used for any number of purposes; housing, amusement, commercial, etc. It doesn't need to stay an amusement park, much as many of us would like it to (animals notwithstanding). I believe the old owner's wife is still alive, and she (and her Will) has...

Marineland of Canada (may be) closing/sold

If the old owners were adamant, I believe they could have stipulated in the sale that none of the land could be used for non-amusement park purposes. I brought up selling the land in the context of "in case they needed money to develop the park". Doesn't matter if they have hundreds and...

    Canada's Wonderland | Alpenfury | Premier Rides Launch Coaster | 2025

Adding any kind of game sounds like an expensive, hard-to-sync gimmick that most guests wouldn't bother with at all. (And, more importantly, wouldn't actually draw people to the park). Racing elements are fun because you get to see another train of passengers mid-ride.

Marineland of Canada (may be) closing/sold

Marineland has so much extra land that will never realistically be utilized for the park. Selling/leasing/whatever some amount of that land could go a long way to providing the necessary capital.

Marineland of Canada (may be) closing/sold

Looking at this thread, I see people saying, "I could see Merlin being interested", "I wouldn't be surprised if it was Merlin", "please not a Legoland". Not really a rumor, so much as people chattin' about it.

Marineland of Canada (may be) closing/sold

Really feel the absence of ParkFans's rolling-eyes react when I'm using other forums. I've heard various rumors of the possible buyer. "A German park operator", Hershey, Herschend (who, I hear, have visited Marineland multiple times). I still strongly believe it has to be a privately owned...

Cedar Point to close Snake River Falls

Also worth noting, Curse of the Werewolf at Epic Universe appears to be the same model (Xtreme Spinner), even if it doesn't have any inversions or thrill elements, and that coaster has 5 car trains. With this, pre-boarding lockers, and separate load/unload stations, I think a park could really...

Yes, it sounds like a naughty word, but also "Behemoth" and "Leviathan" have entered the public lexicon. No one is gonna look at either name and be confused. Ziz, on the other hand? It's like comparing "dragon" to "roc". Anyone who has to google what a roc is after reading this, sound off. :P

Parques Reunidos reviewing whether to sell/merge U.S parks

IB shouldn't even be in the conversation. They have a single functional amusement park, and two husks. I could see United Parkseas scooping these up, maybe, to better compete with Six Cedars

    Kings Dominion | Rapterra | B&M Launched Wing Coaster | 2025

I like the name and the theming, but these are some plain ass-looking trains. *Laughs in Fenix, a coaster that, like Thunderbird, I have never ridden*

Six Flags Great America | Wrath of Rakshasa | B&M Dive Coaster | 2025

Having just visited the park on a weekend where Maxx Force barely opened, I hope they aren't hinting at an S&S anything. I suspect the reliability would be trash.

Which bottom/middle tier manufacturer could make the jump to being a fan favourite in 10 years?

Honestly, if the hot wheels coasters are well received, I could see Chance having a resurgence. There is a serious gap in reliable/well received launch thrill coaster providers among American coaster manufacturers. Also keeping my eyes on ART, as cedar fair might continue to invest/take chances...

Marineland of Canada (may be) closing/sold

The park WAS purchased by someone; that much is known. They just haven't announced who yet. Is it a major operator, a minor operator, some other business throwing its hat into the ring? We don't know. That said, I doubt the buyer, whoever they are, bought the park just to "shut it down for good"...

Marineland of Canada (may be) closing/sold

For what absolutely little it is worth, Marineland's wikipedia page lists "The King Waldorf Company" as the current owners of Marineland of Canada (2024-) And no, Google doesn't not offer any information on this company whatsoever, so I'm sure it's legit :V

Man In Critical Condition After King’s Island Accident

Has anyone seen anti-Kings Island/Banshee sentiment in relation to this incident? Or in the response from the public? My news sources are admittedly enthusiast-facing, but all I've seen is pre-emptive backlash to the backlash. The incident is still very recent and I would not be surprised if we...
