I've got an old ford focus estate, and the only difficult thing about driving at 20 Vs 30 is my gearbox 😂
20 seems to sit right on the overlap of 2nd and 3rd so I'm either over-revving or chuffing along doing my best steam train impression! The obvious solution is to slow down a little so it's...
I don't think the licence fee should be scrapped, solely because bickering about the licence fee is about as British as it gets and I never want that to go away!
It's baffling that they close right as school finishes! Why do they insist on 10am-4pm, when 3pm-9pm is the same amount of time, but means they're more likely to not only get the local kids in but they're also going to get the locals that finish work at 5(ish)!
They'll leave the cleaning until the end, no point cleaning it now when it's probably only going to get dirty again while they're still playing in the mud!
What's interesting about that viewpoint is the lack of any intrinsic value of just being inside the park. You can walk around enjoying the atmosphere, the culinary delights, maybe buy some ride tickets? I'd say that's worth a fiver on its own merits, surely?
Liseberg is a good comparison...
My thinking is that repair is to take some of the strain out of the track and stop it sagging while they wait for the proper repair?
Love the experts in the Facebook comments questioning why the support is braced on the inside when the forces are obviously pushing outwards!
Besides how...
It's a joke is what it is, nevermind a trial lol
Only Merlin could build a ride with garbage throughput and then charge you to skip the pretend wait. One could be forgiven for thinking that making it an upcharge attraction is the planned end goal.
I grew up going to Blackpool for 2 weeks every year, and getting a season pass and going to BPB almost every day (except when mum wanted to go to hounds hill for the day!) of those two weeks.
But after our visit at the end of April, I just don't want to go back. I don't see the need. Nothing has...
I can't see anything about harness or seatbelt requirements, let alone above a certain height, anywhere in the actual text of the bill?

The main changes seem to be the annual permit and the new "ride commissioning and...
#BringBackTheRoll
Cedar Point must have known where Maverick's roll was being kept. They were keeping it a secret for just such an occasion. It's time for one of the greatest monuments to mankind's arrogance to rise again!

While I'm sure certain parks/chains do this, some parks use the queue boards as a way to manage crowds. If the area around a ride is very busy, they inflate the queue times to encourage people to go away to areas with lowers queues and crowds.
Blackpool's was abysmal on Friday. It was reporting...
The big red throbbing vein down the spine just isn't for me. They stylistically remind me of the airbrushing you get on travelling ride backdrops, or something 'new, hip, and happening' from the '80s.
How are they dealing with the track left in-situ? It'll be interesting seeing the different...
