Oh wow now I look quite the fool, sorry about that haha. Both of the coasters look really solid though, expecially the wingrider, well done to Six Flags.
Yeah...this 'new' roller coaster sounds suspiciously like Vertical Velocity, in fact, it's exactly the same thing. I'm assuming it's a rename. Unless, of course, you were joking
Re: Unknown, Gerstlauer family coaster for Duinrell
It is, infact, a generic height just like 40m; it's 50m exactly. Obviously someone wrote down 50 instead of 15. And rcdb can make mistakes; they've got Thorpe's new ride down as having 5 inversions for example.
Aside from that this looks...
Re: Hersheypark's New Ride for 2012
^Just so you know, neither B&M or Intamin are German companies. Gerstlauer and Maurer are the two big German manufacturers that spring to mind. Also, what do you make of the encryption code?
Re: Hersheypark's New Ride for 2012
I don't know if this has yet been mentioned, but if you view the 'Gravity Manipulation' pdf under the Studies section of RIT, on the bottom of the first page there's a subtle encryption key that is reversed and faded. As Intricks said on the header of the...
Re: [Rumour] 2012 B&M for Port Aventura
But having the two biggest rides within about 100 metres would feel a bit weird in such a big park wouldn't it? Unless they combine the themes somehow. It would be one awesome B&M corner though.
Re: [Rumour] 2012 B&M for Port Aventura
The image is not official; look at the picture it says 'Estimacion,' it's basically someone's guess. Also unless my Spanish has failed me, the box with 100 metres in it says that the straight beside Khan's lift will be 100 metres long, nothing to do with...
Yeah PortAventura is awesome, fireworks every night starting at midnight all through the summer. I left home in England at 1pm and got on Stampida, Diablo and Khan all before the end of the day :--D It only works where it's actually pleasant to be outside in the evening though. <3 Aventura
I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but First Drop says that they plan on adding a couple of meters to the lift to give it a bit more energy. If that is done then I reckon it'll be a really fun family coaster.
Definitely Everest
But
Tower of Terror
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
Dinosaur
Kali River Rapids
Kilamanjaro Safaris
Star Tours
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Test Track
Are all also phenomenal
Yeah I thought that too, but there isn't an actual official length for it is there? It definitely doesn't seem too long; there's a chance he was talking rubbish though
On Thursday my AS physics group took a 'field trip' to Thorpe Park as part of our assessed practical/ to waste a day of school. Beforehand we were told that we would have to leave by 2.30 and most of our time would be spent in the education centre. This combined with all of the stuff I'd read...
Companies such as Intamin, B&M etc. who design and build ride systems will hire mechanical, electrical and 'structural' (basically civil) engineers. Companies like Stengel who design and engineer layouts will hire Mechanical and electrical. Parks themselves will hire pretty much all branches as...
It's the age of past participles :D
The name's not bad, but I think the old one was better. Dave makes a good point though, people will associatiate Hydro with the death of a girl. Also it's nice to see Oakwood trying to get some recognition.
