I sometimes clap on rides when I really enjoy them. However, for me it's not the same as "applauding." Usually when I'm clapping, I'm laughing with friends, and we're on a high from the roller coaster.

Six Flags Great America is my local park and the only one I know very well. I can't say where all the food carts are (I don't normally buy from them), but I know where the lemonade ones are! :P
In my opinion, beyond vertical drops do not necessarily make a ride good. However, good rides can have them. An example could be Maverick. While it's a good ride, it's not the beyond-vertical drop that makes it good. I think they are cool elements, but they just aren't good enough to hype-up...
I know it's nothing to get excited about, but was the "revamping" of the Mean Streak any more extensive than these past years? And, is it enough to notice when you ride it?
The only that really bothers me is that we call "black" people "African Americans". Unless It does sound better than black, but most African Americans are about as African as I am. (I'm white. lol)
