Hate to bump this, but I have submitted the piece to the oculus share site, so it could be available in the next few weeks.
Shall let you know when it is available, as it is usuable without the rift.
pretty much all of the texturing and modelling is completed now. I shall post a pov once I have one of the ride basically finished. Next I have to get it into unity, and get it working there and light it. It is looking pretty sexy at the moment.
Funnily enough my drawing skills, arnt exactly of the highest of standards, despite being in an arts uni. Which is quite odd. But Id say the creativity lies elsewhere. I got it working with the rift today, it was like watching a first child take its first few steps. It was insane.
I am at the Arts University Bournemouth. I am studying digital Media Production - which is basically making videos and games and other stuff digital and media related. The majority of it focus on Adobe After effects, and video making of sorts. They also look at stuff relating to Maya and 3D too.
Its been a week or two since I have posted anything about this. So just to touch base, all of the track and animation for the layout has been finished. Its not perfect, but its damn good for what it is and what I have been doing.
Next I need to theme this whole ride and pimp it out with some...
I present the train you will be riding in for this ride.
Modeled, textured, rigged and animated by yours truly.

Okay, thanks. Thats quite handy,
I have a blog that I am currently working that goes a lot more in depth than this,
http://jontiways.wordpress.com/
I am currently in the process of designing the ride trains. So I will show pictures of that soon
I hate to double post here/ bump this thread, (if you suggest I start a new one do say!)
But my project has developed since I last posted, and as you can see I have a working environment working with the rift.

I thought about this one, and the idea of it being more a dark ride with rollercoaster like elements would work, I beleive the scenery though will be the most important part of it. Lucky I know enough of maya to model such stuff!
