I'm probably gonna write a full trip report of my trip that I just did for most rides on the trip and what I had to say about them (I got 16 new creds on this trip) but first and foremost. I FINALLY DID AN SLC!!!
Toxic Garden - Heide Park
And I don't know if it was my expectation of something...
I'm honestly kinda surprised that most of the concern has been about LGBTQ+ rights related stuff, and not the labour related stuff? I mean, especially with the ultra tight schedule, can we start putting bets on how many slaves migrant workers are gonna die building this park yet?
Like what was...
On the topic of wetness, Vonkaputous at Linnanmäki when that was a thing. They installed a wall next to the splashdown which meant that all the water splashed outwards by the boat splashed against the wall and then right back on top of the passengers.
Now granted, it wasn't so much a design...
The track shaping is so wild, not only does the Finnish loop look wacky already, the twist from the half loop into it is so ridiculously gradual that it looks like a gentle flying coaster, but then suddenly the elements become tight again.
This might sound weird but Colossus at Thorpe.
But that's only because I do make an effort to do re-rides and almost always visit parks off-season and thus have an opportunity to do those re-rides, and Thorpe was a relatively brief visit with a group and Colossus was on 45 minutes. It was...
Idk if Maurer really had a bad reputation for reliability as a whole until they debuted the infamous spike coasters? Of course, I don't know about every park, but Linnanmäki has both a Maurer spinner and a Skyloop, and during my 45 visits last year I more often got an e-stop on a flat ride while...
^ I was about to post the same. Definitely looks less stall prone with people on but still definitely some awesome hangtime moments as well. I will say, love how the park is chill with people being on the brake run's catwalk while the coaster is operating lol.
Looks fun for the whole family but I agree, having the train stop mid ride to do essentially a separate layout compared to other coasters in this genre is a bit strange. What is definitely awkward is the placing of the camera for this on-ride footage.
I believe I heard the fountains are pretty low on purpose right now to avoid any wetness for riders while it's still rather cool, and they'll go higher on warmer days, so that people don't avoid riding it on cooler days out of fear of getting wet.
^^ The coaster experience itself doesn't have rotation, right? Looks like they turned the F.L.Y rotation system on it's side, with how the trains on that have the seats rotate as they exit the station.
Even less distinguishable since even the lapbar Eurofighters use a different train/restraint design to the 2-row infinities. If Voltron was the definition of Stryker I'd get that it was a style/layout compactness thing but if this is a Stryker, I'm confused.
